Constructionism with found and created objects

"EVERY NEW THING ENDS UP IN AN ATTIC" (36" x 72")

This large assemblage began with the $10 junk store purchase of matching youth chairs. The artwork consists of two wood panels showing the birth of a chair transitioning into its future. The chair begins as a pile of white parts and doesn't gain its life-intended color until it is complete and had moved from the left hand panel into an attic. The computer-generated poster of the young girl was created using an early 1900s photo. The small framed photo is of the artist's mother.

"Mozart's Guitar" 36 x 24

Mozart didn't play the guitar so we gave him some piano keys and found objects in this assemblage.

This work is composed of guitar parts, piano and electronic elements with half of an electric motor housing added. The assembly is mounted on a wood panel that is wrapped with a computer-generated, digital art poster montage of sheet music.
