Completed a lot of work this summer 2022
Here's an almost "mirror" image
made from a vintage KENT Guitar.
The Blue Violin is made
from a damaged antique.
It has a 2" Depth to the wall.
The back side of violins often
have a beautiful wood grain.
Note the 3D printed Artist's signature.
A New Vision Adds Depth to the Design
4" Protrusion from the wall
Here are three views of a new
work. The base was part of an
old Sandwich Glass lamp
from my Mother's collection.
"Baby Grand Guitar."
This work is composed of guitar parts, piano parts,
and sculptured scrap wood mounted on a digital poster
that is printed on canvas and wrapped around
a 24" x 31" wood substrate
Hinged top
offers the viewer a delightful surprise
with a peek inside.
An electric organ (found at the dump) is combined with piano parts
for a sculpture (31"x74"x7") that can actually be played.
New painting technique used on guitars and violins
The essence of a violin re-configured.
Note the hollow "f" holes.
Depth defined in a side view
The hollow violin is filled before being cut
into the artist's design elements
Finished concept shown hanging.
Note that the backside has no "f" holes.
3D printed F-Holes are added to
mimic the cutouts of Violin front sides
Black backing outlines the artwork
in keeping the black striping
that divides the sections
Backing for this Blue Violin
is set back 1/2" from the edge
and thus does not produce
any outline around the artwork

Saying "ANTIQUE" by not painting the wood.
Made from an antique child's violin,
this wall art is compact and
ideal for that special nook or cranny.
