On Dixon's 35th birthday his father finally agreed that he was old enough to work safely with his grandfather's antique wood carving chisels. Dixon put them to use immediately making a coffee table decorated with copies of African Art. Even the legs are carved with figures holding up the top.
Furniture
Beyond carving, Dixon makes furniture from recycled wood. A large Irish hutch rests in a Massachusetts home. A blanket chest made from old kitchen cabinet doors provides storage in a Florida condo.
